Here's a list of places to go.

Rainbow Worlds:
As you may know, there are ten, and the Melnorme give you 500 credits for the
location of each. You still have to visit the planets to get the locations,
but, now you don't have to search, here they are:

Beta Pegasi planet I
Beta Leporis planet I
Gamma Aquarii planet I
Groombridge planet I
Epsilon Draconis planet I
Alpha Andromedae planet I
Epsilon Lipi planet I
Gamma Kepler planet I
Gamma Reticuli planet I
Zeta Sextantis planet I

These locations should get you 5000 credits, enough to buy all information, 
and technology. making the melnorme good for only fuel.

Objects:
There are several objects you can get, I know the locations of all but 3.
Here they are with a short description of what to do with each:

Clear Spindle: Found at Pkunk home world, Gamma Krueger I. You need only 
hail them when you enter orbit of the planet. It must be used to help repair
the ultron with two other devices.

Taalo Sheild: Found on the third moon of Delta Vulpeculae II. You need to
make peace with the Orz before you can get it. You need the device on board
your ship before you get the talking pet.

Umgah 'Caster: You can get it on Spathiwa's moon, planet 1A at Epsilon Gruis,
but you need to wait until after they disappear. To do this, go to Pluto,
scan for energy, send a lander to investigate, be nice to the spathi, while
questionning it, then, when you see the prompt "The galaxy teems with
threatening monsters, are you happy here, alone and vulnerable?", use it, then
say "I'm sure you'd feel safer in my fleet..." Go to Epsilon Gruis, remove the
life from the planet, then go to the moon. try to convince the spathi to join
your fleet, and keep going back to the moon. don't say that you'd hate to
spoil their celebrations of return to spathiwa. then, after they agree to send
captains to earth, wait for about 8 months game time.

Talking Pet: To get this item, you must have spoken to the arilou at their 
home world, and asked them about the talking pet. You must also have the taalo
sheild device. You can then get the creature by going to Beta Orionis I, and
asking the creature to explain it's presence. You will have to kill 10 Umgah
drones, and then get the pet to explain it's deal, and accept. You now have
the Talking Pet. You need it to win the game.

Ur-Quan Warp Pod: This item can be found on Alpha Pavonis VII. You need it to
get the Portal Spawner.

Slylandro Probe Destruct Sequence: You can get this by going to the Slylandro
home world. but before you do this, you must encounter a probe in hyperspace,
and converse with it. Then go to Beta Corvi IV, and enter orbit of the gas
giant. Ask all you can about the probe. Then say you can prove that the probe
destroys ships, and say everything in the prompts. Then ask about a "Mega-
Self-Destruct Code" that can be broadcasted. You now have the destruct code.

Aqua Helix: This item is found at Zeta Draconis I. To get it you need to make
peace with the Thraddash. This can be done by destroying 5 or more fleets of
Thraddash ships in their space, conversing with each. When you converse with
your sixth or seventh, it will say "Admirable". you now have peace with them.
They will call you Great Teacher.

Vux Beast: This violent beast can be found on the first planet at Delta
Lyncis. There is a portal from Quasi-Space that leads out within 2 fuel
units from this star (See QSPACE.TXT). You can sell this beast to the VUX
commander, Admiral ZEX. He can be found at his menagerie at Alpha Cerenkov I.
In exchange, you will get the Shofixti Maidens.

Last Shofixti Male: You can get this guy to be nice to you, but, you must
first fight him three times. When he attacks you, simply send your precursor
vessel, and press ESCape. YOU MUST NOT DESTROY HIM!!!! When conversing with
the shofixti, insult him. Call him donkey breath, a snout rotted little
furball. You see, when you say to him "One more insult like that and its
vapour city for you donkey breath!" he will realise that you're not the 
Ur-Quan, and will ask who you are. Say that you're from StarCon, ask order
him to cease aggression. Be honest, and prevent him from destroying himself.
If you have the shofixti maidens, tell him about his important duty, if not,
offer for him to join your fleet. After you have given him the maidens, 
he will leave the star system. About 5 months later, Game Time, when you
return to the StarBase, you will get a notice that the Shofixti have returned.
The comission one shofixti scout to your fleet, and go see the Yehat. tell
them that the shofixti have returned, and send over the ship. This will start
the Yehat Rebellion. It will end when you fight the Sa-Matra, if you converse
every step while fighting the Sa-Matra, then the Yehat will destroy it for
you.

Shofixti Maidens: To get this item, you need the Vux Beast (explained above).
You then trade the beast to Admiral ZEX at Alpha Cerenkov I. Give him the
animal, and then after it destroys him, send a lander to the energy source on
the planet. You need the maidens to revive the shofixti race, use them with
the shofixti male.

Sun Device: To get this you need to perform a series of things first. First,
buy all the Data on Alien Races from the Melnorme. Use the Ten Rainbow Worlds
to get the credits necessary. Then go to the star Beta Copernicus, and scan
planet I for energy. Get the source of energy. Then go to the Star Betelgeuse
near Orz Space. In orbit of planet two there, you will find a starbase like
earth's. At the starbase, tell Talana about the "Deep Children", and give
her the Egg Case Fragments (You get them from Beta Copernicus). Then return
to the base. She will tell you to get the Syreen Ships, before you leave,
tell her that you really like her. The ships are explained below, see the
section. After you get the Syreen Ships, go back to the Betelgeuse StarBase.
When you say goodbye to the commander, Talana, ask her "But What about...Us?"
Then use the Spawner to go to the hole marked YEHAT on the Quasi-Space Map.
Go to source, the Mycon Home World, listed below, and tell the mycon about
the planet at Organon. Then, after they say that they will depart with the
birthing fleet, go to the star Beta Brahe. At planet I, you will find a fleet
of 5 Mycon Podships, no match for anybody. Kill them, then scan the planet
for energy. Get the source of Energy. You can use the Sun Device at 
Procyon II, it will free the CHMMR. Their ships are the most powerful in the
game. The only ship that stands a serious chance against it is the Kohr-Ah
Marauder. Against that, use the Utwig Jugger. The CHMMR will also put the
Utwig Bomb on your precursor ship so you can attack the Sa-Matra.

Rosy Sphere: You can get this item at the Druuge Home World at Zeta Persei I.
Simply go there with the Burvix Caster, or Egg Case Fragments (After you've
exposed the truth to the Syreen). Tell them that you will sell whatever item
you've chosen. Accept the Rosy Sphere. It is the third item needed for the
Ultron.

At the Druuge Home World, you can get two other items, but they are both
useless. You don't need the Trident, or the Glowing Rod. Don't bother.

Broken Ultron: You can get this item from the Supox. Use the portal described
in the Quasi-Space map. When you get there, you may wish to get the Rainbow
World that is near. Then, from the portal, go North West, or Up, and to the
Left, maybe to the Supox Home World, about 5 Fuel Units from the portal.
Talk to them, ask about other races, then about what caused the Utwig such
distress. Then ask what to do with the Ultron. Use the three Items that you
use to fix it, the Clear Spindle, the Aqua Helix, and the Rosy Sphere. You
have now repaired the Ultron. Take it to the Utwig home world, or anywhere
you encounter the Utwig. Tell them you've got the Ultron. After a short
monologue by the Utwig, you can now get the Bomb.

Utwig Bomb: Return the Repaired Ultron (explained above) to the Utwig. After
you return the Ultron to the Utwig, they will let you access the bomb. Go to
the star Zeta Hyades, near the top of Utwig Space. On the Second moon of
planet 6, you will find 5 Druuge ships. Nuke 'em. You can now get the bomb.
Scan for energy, and get the source of energy. BTW VERY IMPORTANT: After
attacked the Druuge, you can NEVER go back to their space, they will attack
you on sight!

Syreen Ships: This item in needed before you can get the Sun Device (above).
See that section for how to get the Syreen to ask you to get their ships.
Use the Quasi Space portal that leads out near the ships (see QSPACE.TXT).
Go to the red star to the south-west of there, Epsilon Camelopardis. On the
moon of planet I, you will find an energy source. That is the Ships. After you
get them, set a course directly for Betelgeuse to see Talana.

Burvix Caster: You can get this item on the first moon of planet I at the
Burvix World, Arcturus. The Burvix were destroyed long ago, and you can get
the 'Caster any time in the Game. It can be used in HyperSpace to call the
Melnorme, or at the Ilwrath Home World to tell them to go attack the
Thraddash. If the Ilwrath go attack the Thraddash, then both species will be
destroyed, leaving you to scavenge what you can from both home worlds, and
to approach the CHMMR un-hindered.

Quasi-Space Portal Spawner: To get this item, you need to do two things first,
you need to go get the Ur-Quan Warp Pod (explained above), then you need to
enter the natural Quasi-Space portal in Arilou Space at 043.8 : 637.2. Go to
the HUGE Un-Known dot to the North-East of where you enter. Talk to the Arilou
about what they meant when they said they had much to give you. Tell them you
already have the Warp Pod. You now have the Spawner. It can be used anywhere
in Hyper-Space to bring you to Quasi-Space. In Quasi-Space, you use no fuel
to travel, making travel easier. Refer to QSPACE.TXT for a map of where each
portal leads out to.

There are three items that I don't know where you get them. I know that there
are 3 Data Tablets, I have been to almost every planet in the game, and I
still can't find them. I know that they exist because I found a glitch in the
STARCON2.EXE file, that creates three .DAT files, and a STARMAP.SAV file. I
use LIST.COM on the STARMAP.SAV file, and discovered three lists. A list of
all the stars, a list of all the objects, and a list of all the planet types.
I cannot tell in this TXT file what I did, in case it is illegal, but I can
tell you that there are three Data Tablets. I have also noticed in the manual
for Star Control II that there are three pieces of Technology that I have not
seen before, having done everything, a Cloaking Device, A PulseRay type gun
for your Precursor Vessel, And a more powerful defensive system for your ship.
I assume that when you use the Data Tablets, probably of precursor origin, you
will be told how to construct these technologies.
