Q: I'm loading a memory card with cwcheat. it says the operation went fine but
   still i can't see my saves when i go to load the game. what i'm doing wrong?

A: this depends on the game which has already loaded an image of the memory cards
   before you loaded your memory cards.
   As it isn't possible right now to simulate a "memory card eject" the solution for this
   is loading the memory cards as early as possible (for game with the piracy harms... screen
   it's fine there) else keep select pressed while loading the game and when the cwcheat menu
   appears load your memory card

Q: I've added some cheats to the db they are in the right format as explained by the
   HOW TO USE THE MEMORY CARD SUPPORT.txt file in the cwcheat archive but still i can't
   get my codes to show in the select cheats screen. what's wrong?

A: the most frequent reason to this is that you are entering the ID with a different case
   as the one shown by cwcheat and because cwcheat is case sensitive it doesn't see your
   id. A lot of Games have ids like Slus_12345 so be carefull about the cases and it will work
   fine.
   Another reason can be that cwcheat can't read the id of your game because the developers
   used a strange way to store the executable or they used some other not standard way.
   if you see an incomplete id in the cwcheat screen for example a name, or someting else and
   not the id in this format XXXX_##### (eg SLUS_12345) most probably you have this problem
   if so go to the cwcheat menu and enable the dump function. then go back to game and press
   [] (square) then compress the MEMDUMP0.dmp you will find in the memorystick root and send
   it to me at this email: weltall (at) consoleworld (dot) org

Q: whathever i try to load cwcheat it's menu doesn't come up. what's wrong?

A: it seems that if you have a slow memory stick the plugin support can't load your prxs
   and cwcheat is more affected because it's a 100KB+ prx (so quite heavy).
   ATM lexar and datel memory stick/devices seems to be affected by this definitely
   and can't be used to load any prx. 
   Dark Alex fixed the problem only in 3.90m33-2 so if you are affected by this you
   might want to do that update. Another solution, but which works only for isos seems
   to be m33 no umd mode. A work around to this problem is flashing
   cwcheat to flash in the kn folder and modify the pspbtcnf_pops.txt / pspbtcnf.txt / pspbtcnf.bin
   file to load /kd/cwcheat.prx after $/kd/mediasync.prx
   (be carefull that kd and kn can change depending on the firmware version so be carefull with this)

Q: i can't enable usb (it isn't even enabled in the cwcheat menu)

A: you are using the wrong prx remember to use the prxs with -USB in the end of their name
   and rename them as cwcheatpops.prx

Q: when i enable cwcheat my psx games goes more slowly or have strange noises. it's a bug of cwcheat?

A: no it isn't as cwcheat has a really low priority (lower than most prxs you will find out there)
   the problem here is a misconfiguration of cwcheat. if you open the menu you will see cpu and bus
   frequence they are most probably set at low mhz. to fix this i'd suggest putting them to 0 as Dark Alex
   suggested this will disable ANY cwcheat frequence management and it will be left to the sony psx emulator
   which has a dynamic overclocking and doesn't require user intervention.
   if you still want to manage by yourself the clock you can set these numbers above than you see (i'd suggest
   at least 266/133 or 333/166)
   when you have done this go to setting menu and save settings as default so this will be definitely fixed

Q: Remapsp doesn't work in pops mode and it locks my controller: i've also tried
   loading a remap file but still it didn't work or does work strangely only in some part of games. how can i fix this?

A: I'm sorry but at the moment there isn't a fix remapsp is not working in pops mode and it's a known problem
   so if you can't get a game to work with it, it isn't necessary to report this :)

Q: what's the format of the memory card which cwcheat loads and saves?

A: it's the mcr format (it seems similar or even equal to mc format) and it's the format used by emulators 
   like epsxe and Psx.
you may also load load and save in other formats by pressing R.
LOAD support: mcr, vme, gme
SAVE support: mcr, vme(only for fws with new save format)

Q: how i can load my psx/ps1 memory cards without a ps2?

A: you need to use a cheat device for psx like the AR/GS with the CAETLA firmware
   or a dexdrive which can be used directly with the pc and then an app like psxgameedit

Q: I have a memory card in another format. what do i do?

A: you have to convert it to mcr format to do this use applications like psx game edit or psx mem tool
   Be carefull to select the mcr format else they could output another format and it wont work

Q: i have a ps2 how do i upload/download saves from my psx memory cards?

A: first of all you need a modded ps2 or another way to load homebrew application.
   when you have this you can get ulanchelf to download/upload your saves and Psx Raw Converter
   to download files from the psx memory card you can use lan or usb mass support (you can use the psp with it)
   then you need to psx raw convert to convert your save as mcs and you can then import it in your favourite
   memory card management tool. then finally save the memory card as mcr and load it with cwcheat.
   if you want to do the reverse open the mcr memory card with your favourite memory card editor and export it
   as mcs and  use psx raw converter to make it a raw save and finally load it in a psx memory card with ulanchelf

   NB: now you can even use psxmc2psp check the readme included with it for more informations

Q: I'm loading a game but i get a crash on the first loading screen. what can i do?

A: You have three solutions:
   1-rename the db to cheat1.db and load the db manually after the game has loaded
   2-make the db more little with only the cheats you need
   3-use the lite prx
   in any case check that your situation in ram considering patches/other plugins leaves space for cwcheat to load

Q: When i try playing socom online i can't get cwcheat to show the menu (even if it worked before going online):

A: This depends most probably from the fact that socom loads other prxs or executables. The menu is showed but
   as socom isn't suspended you won't be able to see it so consider like you were using it or leave it alone for
   now till i can't test it and try to find the real solution (i don't remember my yourpsp username and password :P)

Q: What the hell are all those prx in the cwcheat archive????

A: They are various builds made for various situations and configurations:

   -cwcheat.prx => normal cwcheat for GAME mode (so PSP games) it is the suggested one if you don't have those
                   problematic games

   -cwcheatpops.prx => cwcheat for POPS mode (so PSX GAMES) which is the standard one with GS/AR codes and usb
                       support disabled

   -cwcheatpops-usb.prx => cwcheat for POPS mode (so PSX GAMES) with GS/AR codes but with usb support enabled
                           READ USB SUPPORT.txt
  
   -cwcheatpops-cwcheatcodeformat.prx => cwcheat for POPS MODE (so PSX GAMES) with the cwcheat code format and usb
                                         support disabled: usefull for hacking the psx emulator

   -cwcheatpops-cwcheatcodeformat-usb.prx => cwcheat for POPS MODE (so PSX GAMES) with the cwcheat code format 
                                             and usb support enabled: usefull for hacking the psx emulator

Q: what is this usb support?

A: for usb support i mean usb mass support: it's just like the usb connection option 
   in the psp vsh (commonly called xmb). In this way you can access the memory stick while you are playing your game


Q: why when i've updated cwcheat it stopped loading my language, database and config files?

A: this depends from the fact that since since CWCHEAT 0.1.6 REV.G for 303OE all files were moved to
   /seplugins/cwcheat/ and no more inside /dh/. so move all the cwcheat files (cheat.db, cwcheat.ini, cwcheat.lng)
   to /seplugins/cwcheat/

Q: why cwcheat doesn't show the id i put with (insert fancy gui here) but the original id of the game?

A: when developing the id detection function for POPS i prefered using real ids and not what put by users
   by using a pops converter of some sort. this to avoid confusion on the database and avoid working with wrong
   ids. SO disc id loaded by cwcheat isn't the one on the eboot but the one inside the iso itself: exactly the one
   in the SYSTEM.CNF file which is the executable being executed by the playstation when it loads the disc.

Q: how do I use the text reader?

A: just put a GAMEID#.txt, where # is a number in the /seplugins/cwcheat/text/ folder
   were gameid is the id used in the db or showed in the top of cwcheat
   menu. for # = 0 you shouldn't put it at all (just use GAMEID.txt)

Q: where can I get the latest psp games database?

Q: how do I open cwcheat menu?

A: by default you have to press SELECT for at least 3 second. In pops cwcheat can be opened only
   after the PSX logo screen. the buttons and the wait can be changed from the config menu

Q: why when i enable remapsp in pops the commands stop responding?

A: remapsp is still not compatible with pops.

Q: Dark Alex has updated his custom firmware and i download and installed it. But now cwcheat
   doesn't load anymore or crash. What can I do?

A: most probably something broke with the new firmware. I have for sure already noticed it
   so you can only wait for a new release :)
   Another reason could that the cfw disabled all your plugins during   
   update so you may give the recovery menu a visit :P
