<---<---<---<---|HELP!|-<---<---<---<---

Try and Try again.

Every single level is 100% doable.

If you die, you lose a life.
If you lose all your lives, you'll have
to restart that world of levels.

There are only 5 levels per world, so
even if you die a whole bunch of times,
a restart isn't taking you ALL the way
back. I HATE when games do that. GRRR..
Instead, you restart from, at the most,
4 levels earlier.
And since each level is only a single
screen, you're not exactly a million
miles away from where you were.

Perseverence is the key.

Every single level is 100% doable.

If you die in a pack, you get a spike.
If you die 3 times in a pack, and earn
3 whole spikes, you'll also earn a Skip
button for that pack.

Basically, if the game knows you're
trying really hard, but that you're a
bit shit, it'll let you tell it off!

If you're really really good, though
and manage to make it through a whole
pack without losing a single life,
you'll earn a nice little sheep, who'll
sit on the menu where the spikes were!

Awesome!

There's 20 whole sheep to collect!

<---<---<---<--|Install|<---<---<---<---

Choose which edition of the game you're
going to be playing with.

If you'd prefer infinite lives, and all
the levels unlocked, choose the
>>>>> WithoutSave <<<<<<
edition of the game.

Simply copy whichever of the .nds/.gba
roms your Homebrew Cart prefers, and
boot up the DS.
Couldn't be easier.

If, instead, you prefer things to save,
would be happier if you could unlock
things and really really want to mess
about with the included level editor,
you'll want the
>>>>> WithSave <<<<<<
edition of the game.

Again, copy the .nds/.gba rom over to
your homebrew cart, then additionally
copy the JNK folder to the root of it.

You should end up with...
Drive:/026-SheepGoesLeft.?
Drive:/JNK/my_levels.txt
Drive:/JNK/sheep_scores.dat

Run the game, and all should be happy.

<---<---<---<-|Disclaimer|--<---<---<---

Midway through development, a scared and
frightened worry-wart started to freak
out at the idea of me using PALib to
develop this game.

He's scared that Ye-Olde PALib might do
nasty things, if I try to use the file
access that they provided..

I've often wondered about this, too..

If you look back at most of my previous
DS homebrew games, you'll usually spot a
None-DLDI edition of each, included with
the standard DLDI ones, just like this.

If you're a scared frightend worry-wart,
you'll probably want to stick with the
none saving edition, just so you can
sleep at night.

If you're the type of person who would
prefer to just play your games, and not
have to worry about the fact that
lightning could strike your house
destroying 99% of all the expensive
technology that's currently connected to
all of your plug sockets, then don't.
Just play!

Chances are remote.

I've been playing this for practically
an entire month.
Nearly all the 100 levels have been
retweaked by me, on my DS, using the
included editor.

Over and over and over again!

The saves have so far destroyed nothing.
..
....
..
..

..
Well, ok, maybe once, but that was a
coder error!

I accidentally put the initial "Save()"
before the initial "Load()", which
stupidly erased all my recent levels.

I swore a bit.
..
.....
I swore a lot..

But it's safe now!

ALL of my games have been developed with
the exact same old edition of PALib.

If you've played

JNKPlatDS08,
Arcade Slots,
Munky Blocks,
Stringy Things,
Jay's XWords,
or Platdude's Retro Collection

without ANY issues on your card, then
you should be absolutely fine.

But if it all goes tits up, don't whinge

<---<---<---<---<---<---<---<---<---<---

This next bit is the bit that people
will probably whinge about, if they
bother to read the whole file.

<---<---<---<---<|iOS|--<---<---<---<---

Thankyou for downloading Sheep Goes Left
I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I
enjoyed creating it.

The Nintendo DS Homebrew edition of this
game is 100% free, because Nintendo
refuses to let me, and other Indie
developers play nicely on their system.
This sucks.

I have, however, also released an iOS
edition of this game.

If you love this game, and want more,
perhaps consider purchasing the iOS
edition, to help spur me on a little.

If you don't have an iOS device, but
know others who do, let them know about
the game, and see if you can drum up a
little bit of support.

All help is appreciated.

        Thanks,
		   Jay,
		     the guy who keep making
     		     all those great games.
