CycloDS Evolution Cheat Code Editor
===================================

This file serves as interim documentation for the BETA cheat code editor until
the CycloDS Evolution reference manual is updated. It applies only to the BETA
version of the cheat code editor. The cheat code editor is available for the
Windows operating system ONLY.

Installation
------------

Simply execute the file called 'SetupEvoCheat 1.0 BETA.exe'. This will launch
the installer application which will copy the files into the correct location
and create a shortcut in the start menu. Once installed, you may launch the
cheat code editor from:

Start Menu -> CycloDS Evolution Cheat Editor -> Cheat Editor

Usage
-----

CycloDS Evolution retrieves cheat codes from two separate databases: the default
database and the user database. The cheat code editor can only operate on the
user database. The cheat code editor can be used to create and edit existing
user database files, which have the name 'user.evoCheats'. This file must be
placed in the 'CycloDS' directory on your MicroSD card in order to be used. When
cheat codes for the same game exist in both databases, CycloDS Evolution will
retrieve the cheat codes from the user database only. It does not retrieve codes
from both database files and present them all as one merged list.

Most of the user interface for the cheat code editor such as the buttons to
manipulate individual games, folders and cheat codes is quite self explanatory
so will not be covered here. Instead, we'll give a brief overview of the more
important features:

Importing from XML files
========================

The cheat code editor can import cheat codes from XML files in the standard
Action Replay format. You can import multiple XML files into the same database,
making it possible to create a very large database with codes for every game
you desire.

Updating the database from the Internet
=======================================

We have included a very useful feature (NOTE: still in the BETA stage) which
will retrieve the most up-to-date codes from the internet and import them
directly into your database. You may use this function periodically to ensure
that your database always contains the most recent codes.

Once you have finished editing your cheat code database, please save the file to
'user.evoCheats' and then copy to the 'CycloDS' directory on your MicroSD card.
Thats all for this quick documentation. We hope you enjoy the new custom cheat
code functionality! Please direct any feedback to the official Team Cyclops forums:
