Here you will also meet your fairy, Ciela. She will tell you to go to 'Grandpa's' house. Once you do, smash the pots and brake the barrells for some rupees, that is the currency in this world. Anyway, once you talk to the old man and he has finished talking, go outside and there will be an earthquake, resulting in the bridge to the port breaking. So now you have to go the long way around. Go to the place that is the long way round, there will be monsters. So we go to raid Oshus's storehouse. The storehouse is the hollow in the wall, once inside go straight, Ciela will talk for a little, then tap the wooden sign and wirte '7' on it. The door will open, and inside the chest will be the sword. Once you have left the cave Oshus will be there and take you back to his hut for some practice. Once this is over you can begin going around the island the long way round. Simply keep going, all the monsters can be taken down with a single slash, you will soon get to a cave. This would be the first mini dungeon. It is fairly simple and shouldn't need a guide to get through. Once through the cave, walk down towards the port. Go to the docks, there is a man on the jetty who has not seen Lineback for a while, talk to him. Then go to the Milk bar, he will direct you to the temple of the ocean king that you may have seen on your way here. Go to the temple and enter it. Once inside the temple run straight ahead into the door, Lineback will be there stuck in some spikes. Freeing him is quite simple, there is a purple orb that you have to slash with your sword. Once he is free he will speak to you for some time and give you a small key. Go through the locked door and proceed through this mini dungeon to get part of a sea chart. With this done exit the temple and go back to the jetty. Speak to Lineback, after some dialogue Oshus will show up and tell you to scratch with you stylus a part of the map, do so. Now we must set sail to Ilse of Ember, but first you may want to purchase a shield from the shop (triangular house/the teepee), I didn't do this straight away as the shield is not compulsory. \\Mercay Island// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Setting Sail for the Isle of Ember\\ To sail, simply draw the route on the map, the destination of choice right now is isle of ember, draw a line there avoiding the rocks. You may encouter some 'sea traps' on the way, jump over these using the black arrow at the bottom of the screen. Once at Isle of Ember, go to the fortune teller's/Astrid' house. She will be in her cellar, go down the stairs, kill the monsters and shout into you DS after Ciela has spoken. Astrid will hear you and tell you what to do. Tap the sign next to her door, the three torches are at the east most point, slightly to the right of the northern peninsula and in Astrid's house. Now she is free. yay. She will ask you some questions, chose the top answer for them all, talk to her again, agree with her, she will tell you where to go. So just wonder round the island untill you see a door with two candles outside, blow them out by blowing into the DS microphone and go through. \\Setting Sail for the Isle of Ember// +-----------+ | | | Part 2 | | | +-----------+ //Fire temple-First Dungeon\\ The puzzles in here, I found insultingly easy and so shoud you. It is quite tedious, the only difference here from all the other Zelda games is that you now have to carry the boss key to the door and if you save and turn off all the traps in the dungeon will be reset. So it has to be done all in one go. You will find the boomerang in this dungeon, to use it draw the path you want it to take. Once in the boss room, read the stone tablet to get a blue light to apprear, save now if you are worried about not beating the Boss. The blue light will take you to the front of the temple and the blue light there will take you back here. Go forward into the next room... {Boss Fight-Blaaz} I'm not sure if Blaaz is meant to be his name or is a typo, but anyway to defeat him, use your boomerand to collect his three parts together and slash at them while they are still in one place. He will become one, this is you chance to slash. He may dissapear momenterily, however still show up on your map. After doing this about 4-5 times he will be taken down. A cutscene will take place and a chest will apprear containing a heart container making your life meter larger After this step into the blue light and return to Astrid's house, after some speaking sail back to Mercay. \\Fire temple-First Dungeon// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Mercay Island/temple of the Ocean king and cannon island\\ Once back ar Mercay, go straight to the temple of the ocean king. In here grab the phantom hourglass and go into the dungeon, this is a simple mini dungeon that requires patience as you have to wait for the phantoms to move etc. All the puzzles are pretty easy, at the end you will obtain the North Western sea chart. Return to Lineback, blow into the DS microphone to clear the dust and set sail for cannon island. Once there, go into the house talk to the person, follow him out and go around the island, pretty easy, and go in through the back door. Talk to the guy there and he will sell you a cannon for fifty rupees. Buy it and let's go to Molida island that is past the wall of rocks that you can blow up with you new cannon used simply by tapping where you want the bombs to go. You cannot run out of bombs. \\Mercay Island/temple of the Ocean king and cannon island// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Moldia Island\\ Once there, go to the east, go inside the house talk to the guy there and try to go out, untill he shouts something, go talk to him again, then go outside into the cave in his front yard. This is a mini dungeon that is very easy, you obtain a shovel in here. Once out, go back to the built up area of the island and dig in front of the plam tree that is north of the teepee to find a hole, jump down the hole to find 'the wayfarer's' journal. Look at the map on his wall and take note of the route that you need to follow to get to the north. \\Molida Island// +-----------+ | | | Part 3 | | | +-----------+ //Isle of Gust and Wind temple\\ Using the route you picked up from Molida, sail to the north and to the Ilse of Gust. once there, there are wind blowing at timed intervals, go east and use the wind to jump the long distances to the west. It is simple enough to get to the temple on this island. The temple here is quite simple, the boss is some octopus that is always floating. {Boss fight-Cyclock} To take him down, wait for his shadow to be over or near on of the twisters on the ground and throw and bomb in, if the bomb hits him, he will fall. Attack him with your sword untill he regains height. After 4-5 times he will die and you will have two minutes added to your hourglass time. Pick up the heart container and leave. Make your way back to the ship and head back to Mercay Island. \\Isle of Gust and Wind temple// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Mercay Island/Ocean King's temple\\ Back at Mercay, go to the temple, there will be a few more floors this time and phantom eyeballs, if they see you another phantom will come. So Kill them. Use your boomerang to stun them, then slash. On one floor there is a red door blocked by two blowing heads, step on a swich to the right of them to deactivate one, step up to the door and, for cheese factor, draw an hourglass on the door, starting at the top left corner, going to top right, then to bottom left, then to bottom right, then back to top left. This will save you wandering around this floor. Once you see the map at the end of this mini dungeon, you should recognize it. It is the south western sea chart upsidedown. To 'press' the two maps together as Ciela suggests, you have to take out your south western sea chart and snap the DS shut to 'press' the charts together, this will transferr the green circle to your map. Once this is done, go back to Lineback and set sail for cannon island \\Mercay Island/Ocean King's temple// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Cannon Island and the Salvage arm\\ Once at cannon island, go into the house and through the door inside the house and speak to the guy, it dosen't matter how you answer the question. He will ask you to shout, so shout into the DS microphone, depending on the sound he will give you and ammount for the salvage arm, the louder you shout, the lower the price tends to be. The lowest I was able to get it was two hundred rupees, however three hundred is a good price and clearly one thousand is far too much. Once you get this, you can go to the red X's that you may have collected on your map and use the salvage arm to bring up the chests, you will be shown how to use it the first time it is used. If you loose 'health' or your meter goes down, it doesn't repair when you next use it. To refill the meter go to the shipyard on Mercay and for a fee of fifty rupees the man there will fix it for you. Where we want to go is the green circle on your map and go down there. You will pull up a sun key. Now sail back to Moldia Island. \\Cannon Island and the Salvage arm// +-----------+ | | | Part 4 | | | +-----------+ //Molida Island's temple or Wisdom temple\\ When you have arrived, go into the secret hideout of the Wayfarer, then go along the passage and up the stairs, you will get to a door with a sun on it. Use the key to open the door then exit the cave. Dig at an unfitting patch of grass to uncover another hole, jump down to reach a treasure chest. Go back up and proceed along the only path. At the temple enterace there will be a stone tablet saying something about statues. Continue on the path, that takes you on a U turn. You will get to a statue, hit the statue and make it face the temple, then continue down this path. Next you will come to two fish monsters that jump out of the water and have swords. Push one away from the other, wait for it to attack, dodge the attack and slash his back to defeat the first one, this may take more than once. When the fight becomes one on one, it is much easier. If you are running out of life retreat by jumping of the west part of the stage back to the exit of the cave. After they have been defeated, a statue will appear, hit it. Lastly, go back to the exit of the cave, use your boomerang to hit the last statue that is on the ledge opposite the ledge that you are on just after climbing the stairs outside the exit of the cave. The temple door will now open. Go in. Again the puzzles in this temple may as well not be existant seeing as my sister managed this all on her own. The item you get here is the Bow and arrows. {Boss fight-Crayk} The boss is similar to a large insect. The top screen will be what the boss is seeing, when it sees you, fire some arrows into it's eyes, when it becomes visible on the bottom screen, fire arrows into it's shell. To get more arrows, smash the pots or kill the smaller visible insects, do this about 4 times, it will then loose it's shell and become a little like a scorpion, the blue part at the end of it's tail is where you must attack, if it is too quick, fire an arrow into it's face and it will stop moving for a few seconds. After this you get two more minutes on the hourglass and a heart container. \\Molida Island's temple or Wisdom temple// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Setting off\\ After going back to the town in Molida and trying to set sail Oshus will turn up and a lengthy cutscene will follow. Once you do set sail however, you will encounter Jolene. You engine will soon give way and break, Jolene will then board your ship. After some dialogue, a battle between you and Jolene will commence. To attack her, wait for her to do an attack such that she leaps forwards quite some distance, then attack her, however if her attack hits, it takes two and a half hearts. Her other attack docks just half a heart. Attack her twice for her to drop her sword, then tap the crate to get Linebeck out. Head back to Mercay for now. Back at Mercay, modify your ship with any new parts that have been obtained and dig up a treasure map at the roots of the tree near Oshus' storehouse. You will also be read a letter from Jolene to her sister, Joanne and be told to deliver it to her. Go to the north western sea and to the northmost island there. Go into the only house on the island and talk to the wayfarer, he will want to see a mermaid, to see the mermaid kill all the enemies, and once she is in the water, hit her with your boomerang. She will see Linebeck first, talk to Linebeck. Then go to the wayfarer's house and give the 'mermaid' the letter. Now we set sail for that fog, once in the fog. Your ship will 'suddenly get stuck'. You will then have to steer the ship, you will need to turn the sound up for this part, when the annoying metronome gets faster, you are going towards the ghost ship. It will get even faster when you are approaching it. You will then board the ghost ship. \\Setting off// +-----------+ | | | Part 5 | | | +-----------+ ~:MIDWAY DUNGEON:~ //Ghost Ship/Midway dungeon\\ As in all Zelda games, there are eight dungeons, the fourth one being the 'tunring point'. Again the dungeon is pretty simple, but I'll leave you with a few things, first is 41523. Second is, on 'B3' do not, I repeat DO NOT hit the purple orb no matter what. Lastly, take right, not left. NB There is no item that you can collect in this dungeon. {Boss fight-Cubus Sisters} The four sisters will surround you-there was something... not quite right about them all along, and as in all Zelda games, we have to play 'volleyball'. When one of the sisters first a white ball at you, use your spin attack to send it right back. It will hit her, she will die. Repeat the same with the others, however they will be able to return it so... beware. In the final stage, only the completely white ball will you be able to hit back. After this is done, a cutscene will take place that then explains quite a bit. AND YOU WILL BE HALF WAY THROUGH THE GAME^^. Next you will have to travel off to Zauz. \\Ghost Ship/Midway dungeon// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Zauz\\ NB: 'Bellum' means 'war' in Latin, this probably explains why he has such an unimaginative name. First we sail to the Island north of the Isle of Gust and meet Zauz. Strange how Zauz bears so much resembelence to 'Gannon' or 'Gannondorf' from all those other Zelda games... Moving on, speak with him about the phantom sword, then inspect the thing hanging on his wall, take note of the triforce there and set sail back to Mercay. \\Zauz// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Back at Mercay, yet again\\ NB: THIS DUNGEON IS VERY LONG AND SHOULD BE DONE IN TWO PARTS. EACH PART TAKING ROUGHLY AN HOUR EACH Back here, we go straight to the temple of the Ocean King, however when you reach the red door this time you draw a triforce on it, starting at the top, down to the bottom left and so on. This temple again is simple, though to get the items of the phantoms, hide in a safe spot, boomerang them from behind and keep hitting them with your boomerang untill they are a good distance awawy, then grab the item and sprint back into the safe space. There is also a optional part at the end if you replace the three stones in the pedstals, the dungeon will sink underground, I would advise doing this is you have about three to five minutes left, doing this will save you doing it later. At the end of the optional part, the North western sea chart awaits. So in this dungeon you are able to cover all of the western sea. \\Back at Mercay, yet again// +-----------+ | | | Part 6 | | | +-----------+ //Goron Island\\ Sail to the south west and weigh anchor at Goron Island, here you have to talk to all the locals/gorons. The hollows in the walls are not mini dungeons but goron houses. This done, speak to the Goron leader and he will ask you some questions, they are quite simple trivia about the island, he asked me: How many gorons are on the island. There are 14 How many houses are on the island. There are 6 How many goron children are there. There are 6 What is this goron looking at. He is looking at a ship. Which question is this. This varies. So keep a count. How many rocks were in a certain house. There were 3. How much money have I given you so far. This varies so keep a count. He may ask you other questions, but I tried a few times and this was all that I got. You can always use the 'goro-hint' if you get stuck. After you have got all the questions right, being the cheap-skate he is, he will ask for the money back. No matter how many times you say no, he will insist untill you give them to him. Now we have to go and follow Gongoron and follow him into the temple. \\Goron Island// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Goron Island temple or Rock temple\\ Again this temple is pretty simple, in this one you obtain the bombchu bag! Yay for walking bombs! {Boss fight-Dongorongo} To take this giant dodongo down, roll around as Gongoron and hit the dodongo untill he is lying still with his mouth open. When he is, switch back to link and fire a bombchu into his mouth. After about three times, there will be a second part of the boss fight(!). To do this, when he rears up sucking in air, throw a normal bomb into his mouth and he will eat the bomb, when it blows up inside him, he will begin sprawling on the ground, when he is slash at the blue blob on his back. Do this three times and he will die. \\Goron Island temple or Rock temple// +-----------+ | | | Part 7 | | | +-----------+ //Sailing off and Isle of Frost\\ To get onto this island, you have to bomb the icebergs around it from the outside. Once on the island, go into the house that is up on a hill and talk to the old 'man' in there. He will say some stuff about yooks and generally will go on and on. Once he has finished his speech, go to the six houses in the north and talk to all the people inside the houses. Then talk to Aroo, he is the liar. He will then turn into a yook and blast you away, now go back to the old man's house, he will say something more, when he ends, go to the temple. \\Sailing off and Isle of Frost// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Temple of the Isle of Frost or Ice temple\\ Again, this temple is pretty simple yet tedious. In here you obtain the grappaling hook, very much like the hookshot, longshot and clawshot. You can use this is grapple onto those annoying yellow poles! Yay! Now we can waste time collecting all those treasure chests that are not compulsory to complete the game! {Boss fight-Gleeok} This boss, involves using the grappling hook. Throw it at two of the poles to make it a diagonal line that deflects the Boss's attack, if done correctly, the attack sent at you will get fired back at the head that did not shoot it and damage it. After about three times on each head, their masks will be lost. To avoid their attacks, simply stand right at the back of the stage. When the boss goes underwater, jump onto a yellow pole to avoid the wall of water that will come crashing at you, then jump off it into the water to avoid the mini icebergs that will follow. In the second part of this boss fight, you have to dodge their attacks and when one of the heads comes near and begins charging an attack, use the grappling hook to latch onto first a pole then the head's tongue. This will then leave that head dazed and ready to slash. This done three times on each head will take this boss down. yay. Another heart piece and some pure metal. \\Temple of the Isle of Frost or Ice temple// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Sailing off again\\ Now, one must have the North eastern sea chart to continue, if you do not, go collect it from the Temple of the Ocean King on Mercay, if you do, set a course for the north and go to the north most island. On this island, go into the pyramid in the north east, and once inside, there will be four passage leading from each room. In the first room go up, then left, then left, then up, then up. You will come to a coffin, tap it. A ghost will apear and have his say about things, now exit this cave using the stairs provided and nab the necklace inside the treasure chest. Now set sail for the other island on this part of the map. When there, the cyclone blocking the way will dissapear. \\Sailng off again// +-----------+ | | | Part 8 | | | +-----------+ //Isle of the Dead\\ On the Isle of the Dead, you will see many islands and a few pyramids, the largest one is the one you want to go to. In order to get there you must go into the cave and come out near the many islands. Hopping from island to island, make your way to the north west bridge on the other side. Once there, go north and jump of the ledge and continue up a path with many rolling boulders. You should soon get to a pyramid, go in and tap the coffin. After a conversation you will find that you need the kings key. Go out and a bridge will apear. Go to the bridge and go now to the next pyramid. Once there you will get the sun key. Now go back to the first pyramid and insert the kings key into the golden needle. The water level will then change. Now you must go to the last of the small pyramids, after speaking with him, make your way to the largest pyramid. To go past the door with five dots, join the dots up in this order. Top left, top right, bottom right, middle, bottom left, top left. Now proceed into the temple. \\Isle of the Dead// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Mutoh's Temple\\ In here you get the last item, the mallet. Other than that this temple is again fairly easy, as for the hitting the tiles puzzels it's more luck that anything. {Boss Fight-Eox} This is some giant stone structure, in order to defeat him, fling youself up on the pads and using the hammer hammer away at the red dots on his armour, once all his armour is gond (note that you will have to go behind him for some of the armour) you must hit all the red dots on his chest in one go, then he will become a head. To finish him off, wait for him to go near one of the jump pads, jump onto his head and hit the jewel atop. With this under your belt, nab the heart container and sail back to Zauz. \\Mutoh's Temple// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //Zauz and Jolene\\ After giving the metals to Zauz, you will get hate mail from Jolene, now we go and find her. In this battle with Jolene, just dodge her attacks as usual and take her down, but she will get up again, so it's just like fighting her twice in succession. After this, return to Zauz and pick up your blade. Finally set sail for Mercay. \\Zauz and Jolene// +-----------+ | | | Fin | | | +-----------+ //Back at Mercay for the Last Time\\ Once back here, go straight to Oshus' house and watch him combine the phantom hourglass and the phantom blade. Wow. We now have some massive phantom sword... but what happens to the old one? Anyway, head into the temple of the Ocean king, the phantoms are now mortal, stun them with either your bow and arrow or mallet, the slash them and they will die. There is not really much point seeing as you are about to finish the game, but on each floor if you kill all the enemies, there is a treasure chest waiting to appear with a ship part. After getting through the rather easy dungeon now that phantoms are killable and stay killed when you re enter the floor, quickly make your way down untill you get to a floor where there are just three phantoms. To kill them, pick up the red pot smash it on the lower part of the floor and stay inside the safe splodge, stun and kill the phantoms. If you need to you may go in and out to re set the placing of the red pot. This done, continue into the Boss room... \\Back at Mercay for the Last Time// +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ //The Final Showdown\\ ~:Bellum:~ Bellum, owning the world's worst name, is somewhat of a pushover, as for the first part all you have to do is use the grappling hook to take the purple splodges off his body then bring him close (using the grappling hook) then slash at his eye. After this, you have to sprint up to a higher floor and using your arrow, shoot all the eyes on his tentacles. This done a length cutscene will follow... ...And as if just stopping time and generally breaching the laws of God wasn't enough, the cutscene will be interupted and you will end up using your Ship's cannon to blast away all the gooey purple eyes on the ghost ship. You have to be rather quick about this seeing as after about twenty seconds, they re appear. After shooting all the eyes on the exterior of the ship, you will be given the option of saving. SAVE NOW. This is the last time you will be able to save. Full stop. (After you defeat the boss, the game will without saving go back to the title screen). For the final part of the boss fight, you have to stop time again, go round the giant beast's back, see that his eye is closed. Then the top screen will open up. To get more spheres, you have to attack him with your sword, when he turns just tap in that direction. Obviously you should only stop time when his eye is open. After about four times, he will be taken down. This is the game completed. Now watch the ending cutscene for a nice epilogue. \\The Final Showdown//
