       fmt - simple optimal text formatter

       ffmmtt [_-_D_I_G_I_T_S]
       [_O_P_T_I_O_N]... [_F_I_L_E]...

DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
       Reformat each paragraph in the FILE(s), writing to
       standard output.  If no FILE or if FILE is `-', read
       standard input.

       Mandatory arguments to long options are  mandatory
       for  short  options too.

       --cc, ----ccrroowwnn--mmaarrggiinn
              preserve indentation of first two lines

       --pp, ----pprreeffiixx=_S_T_R_I_N_G
              reformat  only lines beginning with STRING,
              reattaching the pre‐ fix to reformatted lines

       --ss, ----sspplliitt--oonnllyy
              split long lines, but do not refill

       --tt,
       ----ttaaggggeedd--ppaarraaggrraapphh
              indentation of first line different from second

       --uu,
       ----uunniiffoorrmm--ssppaacciinngg
              one space between words, two after sentences

       --ww, ----wwiiddtthh=_W_I_D_T_H
              maximum line width (default of 75 columns)

       ----hheellpp display this help and exit

       ----vveerrssiioonn
              output version information and exit

       With no FILE, or when FILE is -, read standard input.
