Important Information
Since v1.17, there is a Wood R4i Gold firmware released by the (http://www.r4ids.cn)R4iDSN team. This firmware is produced in close cooperation between me and the R4iDSN team, it gets the same support from me as do my other firmwares.
Caution: The Wood R4i Gold firmware is only for the R4i Gold made by (http://www.r4ids.cn) R4iDS, Other R4i Gold cards, due to different hardware, can not use the Wood R4i Gold firmware (including the R4i Gold v2, etc)

R4 Upgrade revolution for NDSL/NDS its the original black and silver one. The original 1.18 firmware works on it and I can run pokemon ss and hg, but for wood I get white screen even for those games. It looks like this with all those cuts on the sides. And thanks for taking the initiative to ask

Oh... Well ysmenu and wood 1.28 dont work for me white screen for all. What firmware can I use or is there nothing compatible with clones.

tried on wood 1.28 and original 1.18 both failed. I've been at this for 2 week trying all combinations, I've spent over 3 hours each day and still failed. I might as well give up.

Is this supposed to have rpg and SYSTEM or just rpg?
The last version I can get to work is 1.15 which has both.
Using the 1.28 rpg on it own brings up a black screen and using it with the old SYSTEM from 1.15 shows no font on the file selection and doesn't allow you to select any ROMS. Any ideas?

Not sure how you make this but it is incredible, i was wondering if you have the time to just tell me how to make an R4 system like wood, not too complex but it would help if you told me what software you used to create this

Jelt, I've tried his YSmenu for r4 clones but still no luck. I also tried using Wood r4 with the dldi patch for YSmenu still nothing. I would gladly buy a new R4 but I don't have a credit card or paypal to buy it online. I have enough cash to buy a new actual R4 gold but there is no near by store which carries them.

LOL. Helper no one is going to sue you for helping someone with installing this firmware. I think YWG will actually be happy someone is making a video of how to install his firmware, just remember to give him credits.

Trying to get Style Boutique working. Just get two white screens. Any ideas? It was working with Wood on an older R4 card but stopped when I upgraded card and software.

Ywg My youtube i have this comment saying
i just got an R4 and downloaded the newest wood firmware. When i start my DS, it shows 3 icons; the microSD card, what looks like a gameboy cartridge, and a regular folder. Is this normal? Then In the MicroSD icon, i have to search through the folders for my games. I downloaded 2 ROMs, put both in the same place in my memory card folder, yet on the DS i can only find 1 game.i just got an R4 and downloaded the newest wood firmware.
